Each couple is different, and has a completely different love story to tell, which is why our wedding video pricing depends on your requirements.

What’s the difference between videography and cinematography?

We often get asked what the difference is between a wedding cinematographer, as opposed to a wedding videographer, who will usually charge less.

Put simply, the difference is in the detail.

The typical wedding videographer captures and creates a video that strings together a series of events that occur on the day.

Cine production involves detail. To create our more filmic style, we pay attention to the importance of lighting and its impact on the mood and tone of the film. Quality of sound is vital to create a good narrative, which is why we concentrate on recording and capturing sound as clearly as possible.

On top of standard production requirements such as the highest-quality HD filming, lighting, sound and editing equipment, we devote more time to the development of the narrative. We tell your story exactly as it unfolds and put more effort into the creative process so that your film has greater depth and meaning.

For example, we recently used an underwater camera rig to capture the groom and best men at their early morning surf session the morning of the wedding. And for another wedding film, our intrepid cinematographers climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge at 4am to capture time lapse footage of the sunrise over Sydney Harbour.

Putting more effort into the filming means that when we get to the editing suite, we’ve got high-quality footage and more to work with. We spend quality time on the editing process and put thought and consideration into the final edit.
