Making your wedding video

Inspiration

Once you decide to work with us, we like to do what we scientifically call ‘The Drinks Test’ or ‘Inspiration Session’. We go out for a few drinks to get to know you and your partner better. If we can’t meet in person, we can arrange a meeting on Skype or through a conference call.

We find out more about your personalities, what your plans are, what’s special about your relationship and your plans for the big day and go away feeling inspired. Then, we start to build ideas on how we can best film your wedding.

Before and after the wedding

There are loads of great moments that occur either side of the actual day. Are you planning to design and create your own rings, or write your own vows? Are you taking special dance classes to surprise everyone at the reception? Perhaps you want to include scenes from a next-day, post-wedding BBQ. With a bit of forward planning, we can be there to film those special moments.

On the day (or days)

Depending on what we discussed and discovered about you in our preliminary ‘inspiration’ session, we turn up at the specified date, place and time. Besides the ceremony and reception, we might film things like behind-the-scenes preparations, location shots and any other special moments we see or that you tell us about.

Our film equipment

We film exclusively on DSLR 35mm cameras, using our unique film-making techniques. Depending on your requirements, you will have a minimum of two cinematographers at your wedding.

Post-production

At this stage of the process, our inspiration and cinematography come together to create a special short film that’s all about you and your wedding. In the editing suite, we add natural audio and one-off music selections to fit your theme and story.

Same-day production

For a little bit extra, you can really blow your guests away with a same-day edit. We film your ceremony in the morning and then work tirelessly behind the scenes to edit it that day. We then deliver a cinema highlight version of your wedding straight to the reception.

Premiere screening

As well as sending you the final versions of your film, we invite you to view your cinema highlights with complimentary champagne at our studio in Balmain, Sydney.
